ALPHERA Financial Services was founded by BMW Financial Services in 2001 – with the idea of making our comprehensive knowledge and experience of the market available to buyers of other brands too.
1993
July − BMW Financial Services New Zealand established as a joint venture operation with Allied Finance Limited
1995
March − Official launch of Rover Financial Services
1998
July − BMW Financial Services New Zealand becomes a wholly owned subsidiary after BMW New Zealand purchases shares of Allied Finance
July − Introduction of BMW and Rover motor vehicle insurance products
October − Office relocated to BMW New Zealand premises in Mt Wellington, Auckland
1999
Portfolio reaches $100 million
2001
Alphera Financial Services New Zealand established as a division of BMW Financial Services New Zealand
2003
May − Call Centre Services agreement entered into with Teletech Limited
July − 10th anniversary of BMW Financial Services New Zealand
December − $100 million retail new business volume achieved
2004
November − Launch of BMW Credit Card in association with American Express
2005
August − Move to new premises in 9 Pacific Rise
October − Launch of new insurance programme Marsh Allianz partner
December − Portfolio reaches $200 million
2006
September − Launch of Alphera Financial Services marketing campaign and Alphera Financial Services New Zealand website
