Why do I have to undergo a credit check?Credit checks are customary in banking business and are part of the standard inquiry. By carrying out a credit check, Alphera Financial Services is complying with its duty of care and protecting customers from over-indebtedness. However, it also does this to reduce its own default risk. Incidentally, a copy of your passport or personal identity card is entirely sufficient for establishing your identity.

A good credit rating means that you have repaid past credit balances and continue to pay current credit balances in a timely manner. You should be able to maintain your good credit rating by making your credit balance payments on time and in full.
